Gulf Coast Purple Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia rosea)

Wildflowers of the Southeastern Coastal Plains. Recently completed East Gulf Coastal Plain Wildflowers, published by Falcon Press/Globe-Pequot (released summer 2005). The companion volume, Atlantic Coastal Plain Wildflowers is expected to be released late spring, 2006. These books are part of Falcon's plan to cover the United States with ecoregion-specific wildflower guides. Several guides, including ones for the northern Rockies, Southern Appalachians, and Everglades are also complete.

Angus K. Gholson Flowering Plant Database for the Florida Panhandle and Adjacent Georgia and Alabama. This project has resulted in an ever-growing online searchable database of flowering times for a majority of the flowering plants in the Florida panhandle. Many of the data in this database are taken from the field recordings of Angus K. Gholson, Jr. who has kept flowering records for the panhandle for nearly 20 years. The current version of the database is included within PanFlora, but is incomplete. The database is updated several times a month as new records continue to be added. Entry of Gholson's data (over 30,000 occurrence records) is expected to be complete within the next two years. Plans also call for future expansion to allow online contributions to the database.

FSU Virtual Herbarium. Currently assisting Dr. Austin Mast in his efforts to develop a virtual collection from the Robert K. Godfrey Herbarium at FSU that will provide online searchable access.
